“I Believe”: A Labor of Love - Not Your Usual Recording Experience

December, 2006

In recent months we have been working diligently to create a new recording that not only represents us as an organization, but also reflects our love for Christ, the Lord whom we strive to serve. We are excited about presenting that effort to you in “I Believe”. We have been dramatically blessed in our effort, but the real answer to its success lies ahead as we listen to your responses, meet your demands for the product and observe how God uses it to bless His people and draw unsaved to Him.

Creating this recording has been an unbelievable experience for those of us who are the Gospel Harmony Boys. Each of us has been through many recording sessions and most are great fun, but still primarily just doing the labor of gospel music. This one has a significantly different “feel”, a labor of love, an effort to create something that truly makes a difference, not just a sale.

* From the long hours of listening to songs in the living room, trying to select just the right ones for this recording, to the final fabrication of CDs with Millennium Duplicating.

* From the months of long, fun-filled rehearsal with help from great friends like Vince Owens, Jim Piercy, and Mike Bloomfield, to working with talented folk like Todd Browning on the CDs insert and artwork.

* From the photo shoot at Jan Witter’s studio in Huntington, WV, to the spirit-filled, vocal sessions and the mixdown at HitMaker Studios with Dan Ward.

* From the recording of instrumentals with our friend of many years, Mark Hale at Harvest Studios, to the unbelievable orchestration of Milton Smith.

Throughout every step God has provided an incredible experience and an amazing group of talented people whom we’ve grown to love and appreciate. But best of all, a group of people who share with us the goal to create something that will make a difference.

Creating this recording has been a wonderfully blessed journey for all of us who have been on board and we truly wish we could have taken each of you along with us. Since that was not possible, we hope you will share in our experience by adding “I Believe” to your own music library or glove compartment and give God the opportunity to use it to bless you and your friends or help you lead someone to know Him.

Thanks for inviting us to your computer screen. We appreciate your interest and support of our ministry and invite you to experience our “Labor of Love” with your own copy of “I Believe”. We know you’re going to love it too.
