GHB Talk with Fair Officials

The Harmony Boys participated in both the Ohio Fair Managers and the West Virginia Fair and Festivals conventions recently to talk with officials about the possibility of adding gospel music concerts to their line-up of events at local, county and state fairs and festivals.
We perceive it as a great opportunity to deliver the message that “Jesus saves”
There was considerable interest as numerous fair managers and directors stopped by the booth to discuss their needs and we are hopeful that some will invite the GHBs to be part of their event this year. What a wonderful venue for gospel music as it potentially opens the door to many folks who never go to church, but do attend their local community affairs. We perceive it as a great opportunity to deliver the message that “Jesus saves” to an un-churched audience in a venue where they are content to listen.

Calvin with Deelana, a “lady of the mat”
There are some potential draw backs, however as you can tell from the photos. Apparently we are going to have to be a bit more cautious about letting Calvin and Clacy go to town by themselves. As fate would have it, The “Big Time Wrestling” booth was across the aisle from ours in Columbus and we found Jim and Deelana exceptionally nice folks to visit. We appreciate all the fun we had with them as we helped one another get through the less busy moments in the exhibit hall.
