Scott Mullins Becomes New GHB Lead Singer

The GHBs welcome new Lead Singer, Scott Mullins, with a trial by fireduring the Putnam County Fair after only two rehearsals.
When Dale Chambers announced that his responsibilities with Family Christian Stores would no longer allow him to be an active member of the Gospel Harmony Boys, each of us was immediately disappointed. He brought an exceptional talent and personality to the group when it was desperately needed and we knew that his departure would leave a tremendous void. We immediately began praying that God would bring just exactly the right man to fill it. We prayed for a bold Christian who loves the Lord and has the desire to serve.
It’s always exciting to see how God provides. Since March, three of the most amazing lead singers have made themselves available to help the GHBs fulfill a busy concert schedule. Greg Tingler, Scott Brooks and John Snodgrass have done a truly wonderful job for us and we truly appreciate and thank God for their dedication and service.
Scott Mullins, GHB lead
Near the end of May, we received a call from Scott Mullins, a wonderful young Christian man who was singing lead with Freedom Voice out of Columbus, Ohio. Scott related that he had tended a resignation with Freedom Voice and wanted to find a ministry in which to serve nearer home. Scott is a native of the Charleston, WV area. Long story short, after listening to Scott sing and hearing his testimony, it became apparent that God had opened the doors for both him and the Gospel Harmony Boys. Scott officially became an active member of the GHBs on July 31st though having done several concert dates with the group in July. His talent and love for the Lord has been a huge blessing and acts to affirm that his service in this ministry is truly direction from the Lord. His solid lead voice brings a fullness and expression to the quartet that is reminiscent of the original group during the 60s, 70s and 80s.

Currently, the group is seeking new material for an immediate recording session and looking forward to a busy fall concert schedule. Scott has had a steep learning curve with all of the existing GHB songs, but he is handling it like the true professional he is. He has been receiving tremendous welcomes from the promoters, churches and friends he has visited thus far and all of us look forward to introducing him to you the next time we are in your area.
