The Gospel Harmony Boys Thank Three Great Leads

The Gospel Harmony Boys

GHB Thank Brooks, Snodgrass, Tingler

Scott Brooks with GHB, spring, 2005

Scott Brooks joins the Boys in the spring of 2005

In March 2005, lead singer, Dale Chambers joined the ranks of the inactive Gospel Harmony Boys because of his increased responsibilities with Family Christian Stores. It is with great regret that we lose Dale as an active member.  We will miss this exceptional young man’s talent and great road personality. During the succeeding months, three of the finest lead singers we’ve ever had the opportunity to know have helped the GHBs fill a busy spring and summer concert schedule.

We are deeply indebted to Scott Brooks from Oceana, WV, who sang for many years with the Crossmen; and John Snodgrass from Huntington, WV who sings with Bloodline. We’d like to thank them for their time, talent and wonderful friendship.

Their dedication has made it possible for the GHBs to enjoy a very successful ministry during the past few months. We have developed an invaluable brotherhood with these Christian men that only our mutual relationship with God could create.

Greg Tingler joins the Boys at the Rib Fest

Greg Tingler is the featured lead singer with the GHBs at the Rib Fest in Morgantown, WV.

A special thanks is extended to long time friend and brother, Greg Tingler, who has done a yeoman’s labor for our ministry, not only in recent months, but for many years.  As a high school student, Greg joined Clacy and the group in 1972 and played bass guitar and piano as the need arose. He filled that position full time until 1979. He returned to the organization to sing baritone from 1996 till 2002. During those interim years, Greg served with several other groups, but has always made himself available to the GHBs upon request to serve whenever needed.

In recent months, Greg has also helped fill the vacancy that was created by Dale’s departure.  His exceptional talent and long valued friendship always makes him a welcome traveler on any Harmony Boys journey. We are so appreciative of his willingness to serve and the enthusiasm with which he does.

Greg resides in Minford, Ohio with his lovely wife, Pam, and their extraordinary daughters, Laura and Sarah. We’d also like to extend our thanks to them as well for sharing Greg with us over the years and we look forward with great anticipation to our continued friendship, fellowship and opportunities to serve the Lord together.
