Grand Choir at the 56th Reunion Sing
The stage lights came up , the house lights dimmed, and a hush fell over the crowd. The Gospel Harmony Boys 2008 Reunion Concert was underway. We've done it again! We're happy to announce our fourth radio release from our ever popular I Believe CD. It's a great old quartet song from one of southern gospel music's giants, Lee Roy Abernathy. Find out more here, and please request this song from your local radio station.
WV Fair and Festivals Convention
Each year officials from all of West Virginia’s county fairs and festivals congregate in Charleston for the WV Fair and Festival Association’s Annual Convention. The convention features a beauty pageant where local fair and festival queens from the previous year vie to be crowned the WV State Fair Queen. It also features booths and talent showcases for artists and vendors.
The convention theme this year was “Fun in Your Own Backyard” and the GHB booth, designed by Calvin’s wife Donna, was the talk of the convention. It featured a charcoal BBQ complete with lawn, picket fence, pastry hamburgers and cheeseburgers and chips and dip for visitors. Thanks to Donna, the GHB booth was awarded the “Best of Show” by Convention officials. As usual it was great fun meeting and fellowshipping with fair and festival officials as well as other artists and vendors who serve the fair and festival industry here in West Virginia. Check out the photos in the Gallery.
We are pleased to announce a new recording of some great old quartet songs. In the coming weeks, we will release this new CD. Until next time, God Bless
